About Prettify
Last updated:
Prettify is a viewer and editor for structured data and documents. It opens JSON, JSONL, YAML, CSV, TSV, XML, RSS and Atom feeds, Mermaid, Markdown, MDX, HTML, and SVG in one tool. Off Leash Labs makes Prettify.
What Prettify does
Prettify shows your data in the view that suits it: a tree, a table, a node diagram, a chart, a feed, or a rendered preview. You can search, edit, validate, and convert between JSON, YAML, CSV, and XML. Pro adds query engines (jq, SQL, and XPath), JSON Schema validation, diff, split view, and full document history.
Prettify runs in the browser at prettify.tools and as a native macOS desktop app. Windows and Linux builds are also available on the download page.
Your data stays on your device
Prettify parses, edits, queries, and converts your documents on your own device. It does not upload a document to view or edit it. A document leaves your device only when you choose a feature that needs the network, for example a Pro short share link. The privacy guide lists every network request that Prettify makes, and the privacy statement is the full policy.
How Prettify is paid for
The free tier has no time limit and no account. Prettify Pro is a one-time purchase of US$19.99. It gives lifetime access to every Pro feature and every future update. There is no subscription and there are no ads. Pro has a 30-day money-back guarantee. See Prettify Pro for the full list of features.
Who makes Prettify
Off Leash Labs builds and supports Prettify, and it operates the website and the desktop app. The changelog lists every release and what changed in it.
